Successful Living - 2
It is God's will for us to live a victorious lifestyle during our time on the earth.
Therefore, I need to fall out of agreement with this tail attitude:
Why must others / you have all the good breaks in life and not me! This keeps back: those who cannot rejoice and weep with others when they're happy or sad.
Romans 12: 15 When others are happy, be happy with them. If they are sad, share their sorrow. 16 Work happily together. Don't try to act big. Don't try to get into the good graces of important people, but enjoy the company of ordinary folks. And don't think you know it all! (The Living Bible, Tyndale House Publishers)
I can get out of this attitude by turning my back on envy and asking God to help me to be genuinely glad at the good fortune of others. This will bring my good fortune along faster.
I can get out of this attitude by asking God to take away from me this feeling that I am entitled. I must ask Him to help me to seek Him for myself and pursue my own relationship with Him, and not to feel that someone else must always do my praying for me or achieve my results for me.
See you tomorrow, God willing, for another meditation on God's Word! Be blessed as you pursue Him today!
