14 - The Holy Spirit Converts - 2

Romans 8:
15 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear,
but you received the Spirit of sonship.
And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."
16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
NIV

2 Timothy 1:
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear,
but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
NKJV

The Bible insists that the Spirit we received from the Lord is NOT a Spirit of fear and timidity.

Rather, this new Spirit who has taken up residence in us, is the Holy Spirit Himself.
If we allow Him to, He will set several wonderful foundations in our life:
the ability to know our heavenly Father
the ability to be confident when we address our Father as "Dear Daddy!"
the knowledge in our knower, that I am a child of God - not merely a creation
the ability to be motivated by the power of virtue
the ability to love the Lord with all our strength
the ability to have a sound mind and think soberly always

This an awsome transformation is accomplished by the Mighty Holy Spirit.

O Mighty Holy Spirit,
transform me from the inside, out,
in Jesus' name,
Amen.
